hey, i’m daws.

I'm a 25 year old videographer from the East Coast of Canada. I have loved the idea of capturing images and videos since I got my hands on the iPod 4th generation. It's been close to a decade now and I have grown to love this passion of mine.

My goal is to showcase the real and authentic moments of your day. Therefore, you can expect me to quietly be shadowing your photographer and capturing every special moment that you may not have otherwise noticed. We want you to be in the moment, and not posing for the camera all the time. I also bring a second camera along with me to ensure those special moments are not missed from any angle.

what you can expect from me

flexibility

We understand that the special day or event can get very busy and overwhelming at times. There won’t be any need to stress because we are flexible and will work with you to make your day as amazing as you imagined it to be.

content

Not only do couples like reliving their special day through a highlight video, but some also like to look back and hear those heartfelt speeches that were made, and have their ceremony recorded to watch again. We are happy to provide the extra content and this is included in our standard package.

authenticity

Our goal is to showcase the real and authentic moments of your day. Therefore, you can expect me to quietly be shadowing your photographer and capturing every special moment that you may not have otherwise noticed. We want you to be in the moment, and not posing for the camera all the time.

Get to know Me.

My name is Dawson, but you can call me Daws. More often than not, you can find me spending time with my wife and daughter, friends, hiking, cycling, filming and editing videos, or attending a concert.

Growing up, I aways loved art class because I was much better at communicating through artistic expression, rather than words. By the time I reached grade 12, my love for drawing faded but my passion for using my camera to record videos and edit pictures only grew. This passion turned into an obsession, as I would often look at the world around me as an opportunity just waiting to be captured. As more people heard how much I loved my camera, I started to find more opportunities to use it. I would take pictures for friends, apprentice under local videographers, and create promo videos for non-profits whenever I could.

In 2017 I was given the opportunity to shoot my first wedding. It was nerve wracking, intense and fun all at the same time. I will never forget that feeling. That being said, much like learning any craft, it takes time and effort to even be remotely good at it. I feel happy and blessed to say that I have come a long way and as of 2024 I’ve shot multiple weddings and things are only getting started!

Each wedding day is different, but special in it’s own way. I couldn’t imagine spending my time with any other couples than those who I’ve had the opportunity of serving.

Here’s to the future of capturing these special moments and telling more of your stories!
